If planted tightly they are like most other scallions but somewhat taller. Sow in spring as early as soil can be worked1/4" deep, 1-3 seeds per inch, rows 6"-12" apart. Keep moist until seedlings emerge. Thin when 3" high to 2" apart. For transplants start indoors in late winter and set out 2" apart in early spring.
